Your horse is agisted 40 minutes away. Now you can check on them from your couch.
Unlike a float camera (which your phone connects to directly), the Paddock Camera uses a mobile SIM to stream live video from anywhere with 4G coverage - a paddock, a distant yard, an agistment property. Solar-powered for long unattended run times.
- 4G mobile connection - live view from anywhere with mobile coverage, no home WiFi needed.
- Australian network ready - supports 4G LTE Band 28 (700 MHz), the band Telstra and Optus use across rural Australia.
- Solar-powered for long, unattended run times off-grid.
- Pan and tilt live view, with night vision and motion alerts, on your phone.

Which Manewise camera is right for you?
All three of our cameras show you your horse on your phone - the difference is how far away you can be.
- This one - the 4G Solar Paddock Camera (A$449): for a horse you are not standing near. Uses a mobile data SIM, so there is no distance limit - check a paddock or agistment property from home, work or interstate. Needs mobile coverage at the location and your own data SIM.
- Wireless Horse Float Camera (A$199): for watching your horse while you tow. Connects straight to your phone over its own WiFi hotspot - no SIM, no internet, no monthly cost - but you need to be close to the camera, like in the tow vehicle.
- Solar Horse Float Camera (A$299): the same direct-to-phone float camera, with a solar panel so you never have to remember to charge it between trips.
Not sure? Our float camera buying guide walks through all three in plain English.
Why it costs more than our float cameras
The float cameras create their own local WiFi signal and send it a short distance to your phone. This camera contains a 4G modem - the same kind of hardware that's in a phone - so it can send live video across the mobile network with no distance limit at all, plus a solar panel and motorised pan/tilt head. That extra hardware is the price difference. If you only ever watch your horse from the tow vehicle, the A$199 float camera is the smarter buy.
Common questions
Do I need WiFi at the paddock?
No. The camera connects over the 4G mobile network instead, the same way your phone does. That's the whole point of this model - it works in places with no power and no internet.
Do I need a SIM card, and is one included?
You need a 4G data SIM with an active data plan. It is not included - you buy it separately from any Australian provider and choose your own plan. We don't charge any ongoing fee.
What if there's no mobile signal where my horse is?
Then this camera won't work there - it needs usable 4G coverage at the camera's location to send video. Before ordering, check your provider's coverage map for that address, or see whether your phone holds a signal when you're standing at the paddock.
How far away can I be?
There's no distance limit. Because the video travels over the mobile network, you can watch from home, from work, or from another state - anywhere you have internet on your phone.
Does it need to be plugged in?
No. It has a built-in rechargeable battery and an integrated solar panel that tops it up from daylight, so it's designed to run unattended outdoors.
Can I see it at night?
Yes. It runs black-and-white night vision by default and automatically switches on its white light and to full colour when it detects movement.
Will it tell me if something happens?
Yes - it sends motion alerts to your phone. You can set which part of the frame it watches and during which hours, so you're not woken up by a passing branch.
